Chairs Report 2009 – 2010
Though our branch activities have been curtailed for the foreseeable future, Members have still been active in presenting our branches profile and standard throughout the past year.
This was carried out in the following manner:
RAMC Associations SE Scotland Branch (Edinburgh) - Recent Activities
1st November 2009 - Saw RAMC Association members from Edinburgh in attendance at The Service of Remembrance held at the Walter Scott Monument in Princess Street Gardens, a wreath was laid by the Branch Chairman Mr John Richardson.
8th November 2009 – A number of RAMC SE Branch members attended the annual Remembrance Day Sunday Parade& Service, at the “Stone of Remembrance” near the City Chambers in the Royal Mile. This was followed by a church service in St Giles Cathedral, In 2010, it is hoped that the RAMC Association will be represented at both services again, where wreaths will be laid by members and supported by Mr Alan Mackay our RAMC Standard Bearer.
13th February 2010 - Valentines Lunch: Held at the Royal Scots Club in Edinburgh. Members and their partners enjoyed an excellent meal and hospitality.
17th June 2010 – RAF Leuchars: The Chair and Mrs Richardson were invited to represent the association at the RAF Bases Leuchars in Fife, By the Commanding Officer & Squadron Leader to their Officers Annual Reception – After the reception we were entertained in the gardens by the bases brass band, the reception concluded with a fly pass of the Red Arrows, which was very spectacular.
26th July 2010 – Armed Forces Day in Edinburgh: A number of RAMC Branch members attended the parade. They proudly marched with other Veterans down the Royal Mile to the Parliament Building at Holyrood.
21st August 2010 – Dr Elsie Inglis: Members of the RAMC Association carried out a Tribute Memorial Service to one of our Scottish Heroin’s: - Dr Elsie Inglis. The service took place at The Dr Elsie Inglis Nursing Home in Edinburgh and a number of residents joined us. The Rev Philip Hair Chaplin to Holyrood Abbey officiated and after the service we enjoyed a small buffet with the residents and staff.

Standard Bearer: - 
Our thanks should be recorded to our Standard Bearer - Mr Alan Mackay for his outstanding effort, some times in difficult weather conditions. He stood bravely with the RAMC Standard and attended all of the above activities.
