The Branch held its Annual Dinner on Saturday, 24th September 2011.  75 members and their guests sat down.  This was a smaller attendance than usual, as Officers from 202 Field Ambulance, who usually join us, had to attend an Officers Mess Dinner at their HQ in Birmingham.  During the Dinner a presentation of an RAMC Association Shield, with inscribed plaque, was made to member Dave Barnish and his wife Justine, who are emigrating to Canada in the next few weeks, they will be sorely missed.  Later in the evening our Honorary President, Brigadier Barry SMITH, CBE, TD, DL, OHS, L/RAMC, announced that this would be the last dinner that he would be attending as a Serving Officer, as he was shortly to retire from the AMS, but would be with us as often as possible in the future.
