There was a good turnout for the RAMC Annual Service and AGM at NMA Alrewas yesterday. The weather was kind and the Service was dignified and poignant as always. A big ‘Thank You’ to those who organised the day.
In advance of the minutes that Chris Richards will distribute with all the formal decisions, I thought I should send out a short letter to keep you up-to-date. It is clear by the many rumours that circulate, we are not always delivering accurate information to every member of the Association. I ask that the relevant bits from this letters are briefed to your members. This letter will also be made available on the web.
the RHQ will be unable to provide any transport between railway stations, the Church and Princes Hall. To enquire about Service accommodation please contact the CRSM. To book lunch please send your returns to the RHQ.

Field of Remembrance, Westminster Abbey, 9th Nov 2014
The Association will lay a wreath in Westminster Cathedral at 0900hrs and another in the Abbey after the Field of Remembrance Service; there are no formal proceedings. 33 Field Hospital will provide a soldier to represent the RAMC in front of our plot during the Royal walk-about. If you wish to attend the Field of Remembrance Ceremony there are limited tickets available from the RHQ. You are of course free to attend either of the wreath laying ceremonies.
 
Westminster Abbey Service and Cenotaph Parade, 11th Nov 2014
There are two ceremonies being centrally organised on Sun 11th Nov, the Service in Westminster Abbey and the Parade at the Cenotaph. Both can be booked through the RHQ. The RAMC contingent will gladly lay wreaths at the Cenotaph on your behalf; please make that arrangement through Fred Nock. There is a lot of standing around and the route is fairly long so I should advise those who might need to use a wheel chair to err on the side of caution and elect to. If anyone in a wheelchair would like assistance, please contact Fred Nock.
Turning of the Pages Ceremony, 1st Dec 2012

Thanks to those whom have replied so far, I am taking the attendance list from those who have confirmed. There should be a good cross section of unit members, veterans and local Legion members attending...Quiz Night,Curry supper and lots of banter...Exam question is...Are we to old to have a boat race now ?? inbox me if you need anymore details.:)
